On many Wednesday or Friday afternoons the Riverside students go swimming, skating, or skiing.  Swimming led by Nelia, is held at Lyndon State College and is done in two groups: grades 6-8 and grades 2-5.  Parent volunteers assist with supervision while college students help with instruction.  Skating is held at the Lyndon Ice Arena with the whole school and many parents participating.  Skiing is held at nearby Burke Mountain.  All students take a skiing or snow boarding lesson, followed by free time to ski or board with faculty and parents.
